With the cancellation of the spring meeting due to COVID-19, we look forward to strong attendance and support for a Summer Outing (location TBD), and at the Northwest GCSA Turfgrass Expo this fall, where our chapter will join the Idaho GCSA and Peaks & Prairies GCSA at the Coeur d’Alene Resort!

Dear Inland Empire GCSA Members:

After careful consideration, the Inland Empire GCSA Board of Directors has cancelled the 2021 Spring Meeting.  Washington and Idaho COVID-19 restrictions in place do not allow us to gather in person for our usual meeting and silent auction. We had postponed this decision hoping for a more positive turn of events this spring.

During the pandemic, we have continued to offer educational opportunities. This past fall we offered the opportunity to meet in person and earn pesticide re-certification credit and GCSAA EDUs at the pesticide meeting.  Several of our members participated earlier this month in the Zoom Roundtable, also earning GCSAA EDUs.

With the cancellation of our upcoming event and the spring golf season around the corner, we look forward to strong attendance and support for a Summer Outing (location TBD), and at the Northwest GCSA Turfgrass Expo this fall, where our chapter will join the Idaho GCSA and Peaks & Prairies GCSA at the Coeur d’Alene Resort.

In the meantime, we encourage you to participate in the 2021 GCSAA Virtual GIS.  Outstanding education will be available throughout February for a reasonable fee for you and your employees.  During these unprecedented times, you many find several opportunities to further your education free of cost – but keep in mind that events such as the GIS use the proceeds to advance the turf professional and the turf industry.
